Summer Party & Catch of the Week
Dear Wonderful People,
Depending on when I send this, here we are on the eve of the eve of our annual Summer Party, the meadow has been shorn, the parking area demarcated, the food planned, the music booked, the licence sought and got (phew!) and now to put it all together while simultaneously paying homage to the weather gods. Nuff sed, let’s not tempt fate no more. Save, come one and all to your favourite foodie haven, with, as my late Father would have said, a fair wind and a bit of luck we will have a feast for you.
Look no further, this Saturday 12 to 4pm we bring you: The Pancakes with their wonderfully wry songs, fresh oysters to put a spring in your step, sumptuous grilled Suffolk sweetcorn with hay smoked butter with apologies to the vegans, alas not our own but tried, tested and loved venison burgers from those for whom good meat matters, Salter & King. Oh joy for the vegetarianous folk, Rambling Roots will be serving their amazing unctuous and utterly delicious food. Pudding from our very own Barn Café, brownies and Eton Mess. Food, music, games, crafts and face painting for young and old, note to the children I would love to have the Hulk face however it won’t stick because I’ll be chained to the BBQ.
Meantime, our Seafood Ambassador and provender of the finest fish, Fish Excellency Mike has a lovely spread and so with no further a do here is the Catch of the Week this week:
Felixstowe, Butley & Lowestoft:
Bass, Silver Mullet, Oysters, Kippers
Scottish:
Lobster, Scallops, Farmed Sea Trout
Brixham:
Brill, Cod, Hake, Lemon Sole, Monkfish, Plaice, Turbot, Crab Meat
Cornish:
Mackerel, Sardines
Smoked:
Haddock, Sea Trout, Prawns
Do let us know if you’d like anything added to you order.
Stay safe fabulous folk and we look forwards to welcoming you to our Summer Party and before, between and after.
Masses of love,
Will and All at Grange Farm
