Warm Weather Meals, Fitness on the Meadow - 27th June 2024

Dear Wonderful People,

The big question circulating in the shop this week is what on earth to eat while the weather is so warm? Helen is flying the flag for salads in all their varying forms, and I can't get enough of the Brindisa Gazpacho with almond (so much so that we're expecting another delivery in the shop early next week).

Annabel in her infinite wisdom has invented an entirely new gastronomical category in order to beat the heat, the working title is Salad Tapas™. Roasted organic beetroot topped with Grange Farm Kitchen pickled cucumber, Carrots roasted whole with cumin topped with corriander leaves, mixed grains dressed in your favourite vinigarette, and an assortment of dressed leaves and green bits and pieces came together for a delicious but easy supper in the garden.

Arriving on Saturday for the latest instalment of our Saturday Food on the Meadow is the wonderful Jeong-Un from Korean Kitchen, who many of you will know from her excellent kimchi which is available here at the shop. She will be offering lunch to take away (or indeed enjoy on one of our picnic benches on the meadow) between 11.30 and 3pm.

We're very excited to annouce that Feel Good Fitness with George on the Meadow will be launching next week. Starting with classes at 9:15am every Tuesday and Thursday mornings, personal trainer George will help you get fitter and, most importantly, feel good.  George has decades of experience studying movement and helping people get the most out of their bodies, and is a firm believer that you don't need a gym to get fit. With the perfect environment right on our doorstep, training outside is a huge part of the Feel Good experience.
