Our heroine India Knight - Catch of the Week 12 July

Good Morning Wonderful People,

How are you? How was your week? We are thrilled over here at GF, the Shop and everyone’s favourites A Passion for Seafood and Salter & King have been included in India Knight’s favourite places – a testament to the huge effort and love invested in their work (see @apassionforseafood India Knight).

Meantime, while busy dodging the rain, those of us who have joined Feel Good Fitness on the Meadow, are feeling much more energised: like Heineken, George’s expert yet gentle coaching, reaches parts other exercise don’t reach. Drop him a line on 07548 059 058 or turn up at 0915 Tues and Thurs.

Talking of other parts, you may have spotted some great looking organic fruit and veg from specific farms in Spain. Unfortunately this is not the result of an all expenses paid ‘business trip’ to Spain, rather the power of the web which has allowed us to buy direct from farmers. Bringing you great seasonal, produce at its peak and speedily, cutting out all the handling, shipping and time spent in a myriad of chillers.

And, if you will allow this segue, the Emerald Piglets this Sunday will be jumping, crawling, wading, swimming and running through a myriad of chilly water features and muddy obstacles as they/we raise funds for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice. Do sponsor us if you can, click HERE for more.

On Saturday Suffolk Fried Chicken is back for more deliciousness…I hope I manage to mow the meadow in time and we’ll put a gazebo up, I don’t want to look at the forecast.

And now it’s high time for some fish from “a fishmonger who is in a completely different league to another fishmongers I can think of” as India Knight so aptly puts it. Lucky us.

Felixstowe & Butley: Bass, Plaice, Dover Sole, Oysters, Dressed Crab
Scottish: Cod, Hake, Herring, Halibut, Lobster, Langoustine, Mackerel, Squid, Sea Trout (farmed)
Cornish: Brill, Monkfish, Skate, Smoked:, Haddock, Prawns, Kippers

As ever if you want anything added to your order push the button, pump up the volume and otherwise twist and shout to let us know.

Meantime gorgeous people, stay safe and we look forwards to welcoming you to our favourite foodie haven.

Masses of Love,

Will & Team GF
